Here's the official description:

In *Civilization VII - VR*, the world of *Civilization* comes alive like never before. The game map is presented on a Command Table, allowing players to zoom in for intricate details or zoom out for a grand overview. Interact directly with iconic world leaders, forging alliances or declaring war throughout history. The game supports both immersive VR and mixed reality modes, seamlessly switching between the two. In VR, players are transported to an ornate museum overlooking a personalized vista; in mixed reality, the Command Table adapts to your physical space. Detailed dioramas in The Archives showcase your gameplay achievements in both modes. Enjoy single-player campaigns or compete in online multiplayer matches with up to three other players on Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

The PC and console versions of *Civilization VII*, currently available through early access, have received mixed reviews from players. Steam user reviews cite concerns about the user interface, limited map variety, and missing features. Firaxis has acknowledged this feedback and promised improvements, including UI enhancements, the addition of teams to multiplayer for cooperative play, and a broader range of map types.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in an interview with IGN, addressed the negative feedback, expressing confidence that the core *Civilization* audience will appreciate the game with continued play and describing its early performance as "very encouraging."
