Football Manager 26 Preorders Open After Hiatus

FM26 will launch simultaneously on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Switch owners get FM26 Touch exclusively, while mobile players can access FM26 Mobile through Netflix. Essentially, there's a version for every modern gaming platform.

Currently, PC players can preorder through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Fanatical (Steam key). Console preorders are "coming soon" - industry code for "be patient while we finalize things."

The best current deal comes from Fanatical, offering FM26 at £40.99 (UK) or $44.99 (US) - an 18% discount off retail price. This beats the standard 10% preorder discount available on Epic and Steam platforms. As a Steam key purchase, it integrates seamlessly with your existing library.

What's New in FM26

FM26 represents more than just a roster update. The series is transitioning to Unity engine, delivering enhanced graphics and more lifelike player animations. Sports Interactive teased these improvements in their September Match Day preview.

The game finally introduces women's football, featuring top leagues from England, Spain, Germany, France, and the US. Tactical depth expands with additional player roles, formation flexibility, and enhanced control over both attacking and defensive phases - meaning more ways to critique your digital defenders' positioning.

While quality-of-life improvements and UI refinements are guaranteed, FM26's real ambition is obvious: after a year's absence, it aims to establish itself as a true next-generation progression rather than just another database update with a soccer skin.

The Switch version of FM26 Touch arrives December 4, while Netflix subscribers can access FM26 Mobile - transforming your regular streaming platform into a football management hub alongside your usual binge-watching.
