To celebrate the release of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. In this remake, players step into the shoes of Nyras, a prisoner, diverging from the original game's Nameless Hero. Despite this change, Nyras's objective remains the same: to survive in the brutal world of Gothic.
The demo was launched during the Steam Next Fest event and has already broken records for concurrent players across the entire Gothic series:

The showcased demo segment features enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and a revamped combat system, all powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into these improvements, it does not fully showcase the extensive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that players can expect from the full game.
The Gothic Remake is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and GOG. An official release date has yet to be announced, keeping fans eagerly awaiting more details.
