Hades 2 arrives as a timed console exclusive for both Nintendo Switch and its upcoming successor, Nintendo Switch 2.
Though an exact release window remains unconfirmed, Supergiant Games has verified that this eagerly awaited sequel will debut simultaneously on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Switch later this year.
Following its Nintendo Direct showcase last week, Supergiant clarified that Hades 2 won't simply be available on both Switch generations - it will hold temporary exclusivity across Nintendo's platforms.
"Hades II v1.0 will release concurrently across Early Access platforms (Steam and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch 2, and the legacy Nintendo Switch hardware," the studio confirmed via X/Twitter.

Details remain scarce regarding when Hades 2 might expand to competing platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
This sequel builds upon Supergiant's acclaimed original, blending immersive narrative with roguelite mechanics in a dungeon-crawling adventure.
As noted in IGN's Hades 2 early-access review (scoring 9/10): "Hades 2 defies expectations with its staggering scale and polish, especially for early access. Protagonist Mel shines, combat innovations impress, and the sheer volume of content dwarfs its predecessor."
"The current build delivers remarkable depth already, with promise of more to come."
