Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet May Come Sooner Than Most Think

New Localization Job Posting

Based on Naughty Dog’s recent career updates, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet could launch sooner than many expect. On the studio's official careers page, they are currently seeking a French QA Tester and Language Development Support specialist.

The studio also previously listed an opening for Japanese language support, which is likely filled now that the posting has disappeared. Fans on Twitter (X) noticed these listings, fueling speculation that development for Intergalactic is approaching its final stages.

Games currently undergoing localization and translation are typically nearing completion. A recent parallel is GTA 6, which opened various QA tester roles across different languages and regions shortly after Rockstar Games announced its release date.

Naughty Dog has not yet confirmed a specific release window for Intergalactic. However, many industry observers view these job listings as strong indicators that an official announcement could be imminent.

The Future of Intergalactic

Since its debut at The Game Awards 2024, updates on Intergalactic’s development have been scarce, making any new information highly valuable to fans. Earlier this year, Game Director Neil Druckmann described the project as Naughty Dog's "most expansive," "most ambitious," and likely their most expensive game to date.

While some speculate a release as early as next year, Intergalactic may compete with major 2026 releases like Marvel’s Wolverine, Grand Theft Auto 6, Forza Horizon 6, and other blockbusters. Regardless of the timeline, expectations remain high for Naughty Dog, given their track record with hit franchises such as Uncharted and The Last of Us.
