The beloved RPG, *KonoSuba: Fantastic Days*, developed by Sesisoft, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025, after a remarkable run of nearly five years. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down on the same day, marking the end of an era for fans of this engaging game. However, there’s a glimmer of hope for those who wish to hold onto the memories. An offline version is reportedly in the works, which would allow players to revisit the main storyline, major quests, and events. Details are scarce at this point, and it's unclear if this offline mode will come to fruition.
What About the Store and Refunds?
Sesisoft is handling the shutdown with grace. Official channels will cease operation on February 28th, 2025, and all in-app purchases were disabled as of October 31st, 2024. Players can continue to use Quartz and other in-game items until the service ends. If you're eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases made in early 2024, you can apply for them until January 30th, 2025.
Ever Played KonoSuba: Fantastic Days?
Originally launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, *KonoSuba: Fantastic Days* was the first mobile game inspired by the KonoSuba series. The game transported players to a world under threat from the Devil King’s army, captivating them with its charming storytelling, impressive visuals, and engaging visual novel-style story mode. Despite its appeal, like many other gacha RPGs, it has succumbed to the challenges faced by numerous anime games this year, including maintaining player engagement and managing high production costs.
With only a few months left until *KonoSuba: Fantastic Days* shuts down, now is your last chance to experience this unique game. You can find it on the Google Play Store. Don't miss out on this opportunity to dive into its enchanting world.
