The Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 8 gaming PC boasts an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, a GeForce RTX 4070 Super GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The Ryzen 7 7700 features an impressive max boost clock of 5.3GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 32MB L3 cache, all cooled efficiently by a robust 120mm tower heatsink fan. This CPU's performance is on par with a 13th gen Intel Core i7, especially at higher resolutions where the GPU becomes the limiting factor. It's also a strong choice for most workstation tasks.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Super is still an excellent graphics card for running modern games at up to 1440p. Its performance closely matches that of the newer RTX 5070. In a recent review by Jacqueline Thomas, she noted, "While the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 shows a decent uplift over the RTX 4070, it falls short when compared to the RTX 4070 Super. Across all tests and resolutions, the RTX 5070 was only 4% faster on average."

Nvidia RTX 4070 Super Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super is the $600 graphics card we should have received with the initial 4000-series launch. It offers significantly improved performance and more VRAM, enhancing its future-proofing. Nvidia wisely kept the launch price at $599, sparing PC gamers another price hike for a so-called 'mid-range' card. If your budget is $599, this is the best graphics card you can buy."
