MCU Movies Ranked: A Comprehensive Tier List

Author : Peyton May 02,2025

With the release of *Captain America: Brave New World*, it's an exciting time to dive back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which now boasts an impressive collection of 35 films. Which of these MCU movies stands out as your favorite? Do you have a special place in your heart for the early origin stories like *Iron Man*, or do you thrill to the epic team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts using our convenient tier list tool below.

There's a vast selection to choose from, and just to clarify, we're focusing solely on movies from Kevin Feige's MCU, so no entries from Sony's Marvel universe this time (apologies to the X-Men fans, except for Wolverine, of course). Check out my personal tier list, which is based entirely on my enjoyment over the years:

Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List

Unfortunately, *Captain America: Brave New World* didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what I believe is the MCU's clunkiest script to date. As for the rest of the bottom tier, you might be surprised to see *Deadpool & Wolverine* (2024) down there, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can read more about my thoughts on that here. However, it's not the lowest the MCU has gone; that dubious honor goes to *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania*, which easily slots into the D tier.

On the other hand, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both *Captain America: Civil War* and *Winter Soldier* are S-tier for me, as they brilliantly capture the emotional heart of the MCU and the thrill of paranoid espionage, respectively. Then there's *Thor: Ragnarok*, one of the most hilarious comedies of the past decade, and, of course, *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Endgame*, which delivered a spectacular conclusion to the saga's most crucial chapter.

If you disagree with my rankings, perhaps you believe *No Way Home* is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy, or that *Black Panther* deserves an S-tier spot. Why not create your own tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the entire IGN community?
