Netflix and Supercell have revealed plans to adapt the Clash video game franchise into an animated series set in the vibrant worlds of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.
Currently in pre-production, the series will “capture the wild energy of the games,” according to a Netflix press release. The storyline centers on “a determined yet overwhelmed Barbarian who leads a ragtag group of heroes to protect their village while navigating the absurdly chaotic politics of war.”
The official Clash of Clans social media channels joined the excitement, posting: “Rally the troops, fortify your defenses, and prepare for battle — Clash is coming to @Netflix!” The announcement included a playful teaser video featuring Supercell’s developers revealing the series via a group FaceTime call. “We’re crafting an animated adventure starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-spirited, hog-riding crew. Let’s roll!”
