Oblivion Remastered Images Leak from Developer Site

Author : Sebastian May 12,2025

Exciting news for fans of the iconic RPG series: a long-awaited remaster of *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion* has been leaked, and it's stirring up quite the buzz in the gaming community. Recently surfaced images and details from developer Virtuos' website have given us our first glimpse at *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered*, showcasing significant enhancements in models, textures, and overall visual fidelity.

The leak, which quickly spread across forums like ResetEra and Reddit, was first reported by Wario64 on Twitter. The images depict a visually upgraded version of the beloved game, hinting at what players can expect from this highly anticipated remaster. However, following the leak, Virtuos' website has become largely inaccessible, with only the main landing page remaining operational.

According to VGC, *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered* is a joint effort between Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville. Virtuos, known for their work on other notable remasters such as *The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition*, seems to be bringing their expertise to this project as well.

The remastered version of Oblivion is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S (with availability on Game Pass), and PlayStation 5. A Deluxe Edition is also reportedly in the works, which will include additional content such as weapons and the infamous horse armor, a playful reference to the controversial 2006 DLC.

Rumors of this remaster have been circulating for some time, with initial leaks stemming from the Microsoft-FTC trial documents in 2023. Subsequent reports suggested that the game could be released imminently, possibly even as a surprise drop this month.

While no official announcement has been made yet, the overwhelming evidence from the leak points towards the imminent arrival of *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered*. Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting further details and an official reveal from Bethesda and Virtuos.
