Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is getting a major update on February 3rd: Rogue Frontier! This first major update of the year introduces a host of exciting new features.
Outland Adventures with the Smugglers
Rogue Frontier focuses on the Smugglers, rebellious outlaws challenging the Royal Continent's strict laws. They've established hidden bases, Smuggler's Dens, acting as crucial hubs for players. These dens offer banking, repairs, and serve as planning centers for Outlands expeditions. The dens are interconnected through the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the Smugglers' ongoing conflict with the Royal Guards. Missions include rescuing captured Smugglers and delivering contraband within Smuggler Crates.
Rewards for Loyalty
Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader found in the dens, rewards player loyalty with valuable items. These include the Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a new avatar.
New additions also include Kill Trophies, dropped by defeated players. The better the defeated player's loot, the higher the chance of obtaining a Kill Trophy.
Stylish New Weapons
Rogue Frontier introduces three new weapons:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summons a misty form that repels enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Allows players to levitate and unleash ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves as the player dashes into combat.
