Recent rumors suggested that the upcoming expansion, rumored to launch in January, might render Pack Hourglasses obsolete. However, The Pokémon Company has firmly debunked these rumors, assuring fans that Pack Hourglasses will remain a valuable asset in speeding up booster pack openings across all expansions. According to a statement reported by Screen Rant, Pack Hourglasses will reduce the delay between booster pack openings by one hour, regardless of the expansion set. This means players can continue to stockpile these hourglasses, using them strategically on future packs.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Pack Hourglasses Are Here to Stay
Without Pack Hourglasses, players can still earn Pack Stamina by waiting for 12-hour intervals, allowing them to open two booster packs daily. Pack Hourglasses can be earned through completing daily challenges and opening the Complimentary Item Set in the shop, which refreshes every day. Each Pack Hourglass shaves off one hour from the Pack Stamina process, with 12 hourglasses needed to cover the full 12-hour interval, rounded up to the nearest hour.
Beyond Pack Hourglasses, Pokémon TCG Pocket boasts a variety of other currencies, such as Wonder Hourglasses, Special, Event, and standard Shop Tickets, Poké Gold, Pack Points, and more. These diverse currencies ensure a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience.
