When Does Space-Time Smackdown Come Out in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion will officially launch in Pokémon TCG Pocket on January 30 at 1:00 AM Eastern Time.

While the initial trailer hinted at a January 29 release, official sources—including the Pokémon website and X account—confirm it will go live on January 30. This slight time-based discrepancy likely accounts for global time zone differences, meaning most players will gain access on the 30th.

How Many Booster Packs Are There?

Unlike the Genetic Apex set, which included three themed booster packs centered around Charizard, Mewtwo, and Pikachu, Space-Time Smackdown offers two booster packs featuring Palkia and Dialga.

As expected from these iconic poster Pokémon, the set appears to focus heavily on Generation 4, drawing inspiration from the Diamond and Pearl games. However, fans can still expect appearances from Pokémon across various other generations.
