Reverse: 1999 Version 2.5 Livestream Announcement

Reverse: 1999 fans have exciting news to anticipate! The game's developers will host a special livestream on April 18th revealing both upcoming 1.5 anniversary celebrations and details about Version 2.5 titled "Showdown in Chinatown." This marks the first official showcase of the martial arts-inspired update.

What to Expect from the Livestream

The stream will feature in-character hosts Captain Regulus and new character Officer Liang Yue (in adorable chibi form). Viewers can participate in giveaways for exclusive codes and enter to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

Already Revealed Details

While Chinese servers have already previewed Version 2.5, international players will get their first proper look at:

  • A Hong Kong action movie-inspired crime thriller storyline
  • New character Officer Liang Yue's martial arts combat style

Exciting New Characters

The update introduces several unique characters:

  • Officer Liang Yue - A martial arts specialist infiltrating a movie set
  • Noire - A perfectionist director who controls puppet actors in battle
  • Loggerhead - A character with a literal camera for a head

While international version details may vary, the update promises fun nods to classic Hong Kong cinema from Shaw Brothers to John Woo.
