Season 8: Sandlord of Torchlight: Infinite Launches This Month

Author : Scarlett May 26,2025

Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising an exhilarating overhaul to the action RPG experience. This season introduces the innovative Cloud Oasis, a new gameplay feature that shifts the focus from traditional monster grinding to economic management within floating cities. Players will engage in trading resources, managing workforce assignments, and overseeing production lines to fortify their aerial empires.

The beloved character Thea makes a return with a fresh twist in her gameplay mechanics. Her new trait, Blasphemer, replaces her divine powers with a curse known as Desecration. This curse starts off mild but scales powerfully, increasing Erosion damage inversely proportional to her remaining blessing power. Players can further enhance this trait into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, catering perfectly to enthusiasts of damage-over-time strategies and synergistic builds.

Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite receives significant upgrades with the complete overhaul of Deep Space. This update includes five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. A novel system called Probes allows players to customize their risk and reward dynamics, with each Probe increasing the challenge level while offering the chance for superior loot, including Compass chests obtained through the Compass Probe.

Season 8 also introduces a Blending System for crafting belts, which enables the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper customization and build options. A new formidable boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray in Plane Watcher and on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

To celebrate the launch of Sandlord, Torchlight: Infinite hosts the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Participants can complete tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
