Shiny Pokémon Coming Soon to Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Exciting news for Pokémon TCG Pocket fans: the game is set to dazzle with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon in the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. The Pokémon Company has announced that these shimmering variants will bring an extra layer of excitement to the digital card game, starting with the launch on March 27th, 2025.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

The Shining Revelry expansion will introduce over 110 new cards, including Shiny versions of fan-favorites such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. These Shiny cards will feature a unique shimmering effect when tilted, adding a new level of visual appeal to your collection. Starting April 1st, you can also acquire a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder to showcase your prized cards.

In addition to Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will make their debut in the game. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, giving players the opportunity to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks.

Shiny Pokémon have a rich history in the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its impressive Shiny Vault.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

The first season will begin on March 28th and run through April 27th, featuring the new Shining Revelry cards. Players will be matched against others with similar skill levels, ensuring fair and exciting competition.
