How to Obtain Solanium in No Man's Sky

In the vast universe of No Man's Sky, certain resources like Solanium are tied to specific planetary climates. Solanium, much like Frost Crystal, is essential but only available on planets with hot and scorched environments. If you're planning to build your base, knowing where to find Solanium is crucial for your survival and advancement.

How to Find Solanium in No Man's Sky

Solanium thrives on planets characterized by their high temperatures. When navigating through space, use your starship's scanner to identify planets labeled as Arid, Incandescent, Boiling, or Scorched. These terms indicate a hot and dry climate where Solanium is a native resource.

Once you land on such a planet, equip your Analysis Visor to locate the Solar Vine plant, which looks like tall rocks adorned with glowing vines. These plants are abundant in clusters, but you'll need the Haz-Mat Gauntlet to harvest them effectively. While you're there, consider collecting Phosphorus as well, as it's another key resource found on hot planets and essential for crafting Solanium when you're away from these environments.

How to Farm Solanium in No Man's Sky

Farming Solanium becomes an option as you progress through the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission. To start, construct a Hydroponic Tray or a Bio-Dome at your base and plant Solar Vines using 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. If your base is on a hot planet, you can directly plant Solar Vines in the ground. Remember, it takes about 16 real-life hours for the Solar Vine to mature, so plan your visits accordingly to harvest your crops the next day.

How to Craft Solanium in No Man's Sky

Crafting Solanium in No Man's Sky involves using a Refiner and typically requires Phosphorus, which you can gather from hot planets or purchase from traders and Galactic Trade Terminals. Here are the available recipes for crafting Solanium:

• Solanium + Phosphorus (to produce more Solanium)
• Phosphorus + Oxygen
• Phosphorus + Sulphurine
• Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine

Note that all these recipes, including those involving Sulphurine, necessitate access to hot planets. To maintain a steady supply of Sulphurine, it's advisable to stock up on Phosphorus and establish a farming setup at your base.
