Sony WH-1000XM5 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones

Sony WH-1000XM5 Review by Kevin Lee:
“The Sony WH-1000XM5 represents the major upgrade we’ve been anticipating from Sony’s flagship wireless headphones. Enhanced with a new design and AI-driven features, the noise-canceling performance is stronger than ever. The ambient listening mode is impressively natural, and the audio quality is exceptional—whether you’re into complex classical music or high-energy action films, these headphones deliver.”

While the previous-generation Sony XM4 was already an outstanding headphone, the XM5 introduces significant improvements in both noise cancellation and comfort. Equipped with dual processors and double the microphone count, it excels at filtering out background noise. Additionally, the redesigned earcups create a better seal, enhancing passive noise isolation. The noise-canceling capability surpasses that of the XM4 and rivals most other models in its price range.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 boasts a sleeker redesign, featuring a different style of headband adjustment. The wider band ensures better weight distribution, and the earcup padding is crafted from soft, luxurious synthetic leather for enhanced comfort. These headphones are designed for long-term wear. A minor downside is that the XM5 cannot fold inward like its predecessor—it only swivels, making it slightly bulkier.

Battery life remains impressive, offering over 30 hours of playback on a single charge, even with active noise cancellation (ANC) enabled. The XM5 also supports fast charging via USB Type-C.

Best of all, at this price point, the XM5 is far more budget-friendly compared to competitors like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra and the AirPods Max. If you’re in the market for premium noise-canceling headphones, this deal is a no-brainer.
