A new trailer showcases the brutal, yet amusing, take on the iconic death games. Whether this approach aligns with your interpretation of the original series is subjective, but it clearly aims to leverage the show's popularity.
Squid Game: Unleashed features familiar scenarios alongside new challenges, offering a potential blockbuster for Netflix. Its launch, just before Season 2's December 26th premiere, is strategically timed. Pre-registration is open now!
CalamariThe irony of a show about dehumanization and exploitative death games becoming a multiplayer battler isn't lost on anyone. However, from a purely business standpoint, it's a shrewd move. Netflix seems to recognize the potential of a dedicated multiplayer audience to boost retention, even if some streaming content underperforms.
While you wait for Squid Game: Unleashed, consider checking out other recent releases, such as the highly-rated gardening sim, Honey Grove, reviewed by Jack Brassel.
