Saber Interactive has firmly stated that all its previously announced projects are still actively in development, despite the lack of updates on major titles like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. This reassurance comes from Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, who took to Twitter to affirm the studio's commitment to its diverse lineup of games.
"Saber Interactive stands as one of the largest independent developers worldwide," Willits emphasized. "Our team is diligently working on a variety of games across multiple genres. Rest assured, every project we've announced is still moving forward. We'll provide updates on our upcoming titles as soon as we have exciting news to share."

The KOTOR remake, in particular, has been shrouded in mystery since its announcement in 2021. This highly anticipated project has undergone numerous transitions, including changes in development teams and apparent pauses followed by restarts. Despite these challenges, the game has yet to see the light of day, leaving fans eager for any sign of progress.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive's CEO, Matthew Karch, confirmed that the KOTOR project had moved with the studio following its separation from Embracer Group. He reiterated that the game was actively being developed, stating, "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this. It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits' recent statement, nearly a year after Karch's comments, reinforces the ongoing commitment to the KOTOR remake. However, despite these assurances, fans have not seen any new footage or updates beyond the initial announcement video.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is also working on several other titles. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are slated for release in 2025, though specific dates have not yet been announced. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The latest addition to Saber's portfolio is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. For more details on what to expect from this game, including potential chapters and enemy factions, be sure to check out IGN's comprehensive coverage.
