Superliminal: Dream Escape Puzzle Game Hits Mobile

Author : Natalie Jun 15,2025

Exciting news for mobile gamers—*Superliminal*, the critically acclaimed indie puzzle game, is set to launch on mobile this July. Developed by Pillow Castle and published by Noodlecake, the game will arrive on both the App Store and Google Play on **July 30th**, offering a fresh twist on first-person puzzle gameplay tailored for touchscreens. Players can already pre-register on either platform starting today.

Originally released on Steam in 2020, *Superliminal* has maintained a "Very Positive" review rating within the Steam community. Now, fans of clever, mind-bending adventures can experience the same immersive gameplay on the go. Notably, the mobile version will support controllers right from launch, giving players flexibility in how they choose to play.

The Story Behind the Dream

You begin the game with a familiar scene—nodding off in front of the TV late at night. A strange ad for Dr. Pierce's dream therapy program catches your eye, and before you know it, you're pulled into an unexpected journey. You awaken inside a mysterious recurring dream cycle, unknowingly enrolled as a test subject. To escape, you must solve a series of puzzles that challenge your perception of space, size, and perspective.

Guided by the voice of Dr. Glenn Pierce, you’ll navigate through surreal dreamscapes filled with optical illusions and spatial paradoxes. However, his AI assistant seems to have its own agenda. In this world, what you see isn’t always what you get—your ability to manipulate perspective becomes the key to progression.

How to Play

At the core of *Superliminal* is its unique forced-perspective mechanic. As you explore various dreamlike rooms, you'll interact with objects and alter their apparent sizes based on your viewpoint. By doing so, you can create platforms, remove obstacles, and ultimately find your way to the exit.

As the game progresses, new mechanics are introduced, such as trompe-l'œil illusions, which require precise positioning to solve. Each level challenges your perception and problem-solving skills in increasingly creative ways, making every breakthrough feel rewarding.

For those who want to try before they buy, a free-to-play demo will be available, allowing players to sample the experience before committing to the full game.
