Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the in-game housing system set to debut in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although the expansion won't launch until after The War Within, as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews indicate a customization level that exceeds many players' expectations.
A recent developer blog showcased in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system uses a grid with automatic snapping to align items, and players can adorn larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain attached when moved.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: Basic Mode for easy organization and Advanced Mode for those who love to build creatively. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, allowing for the creation of intricate and visually stunning interiors.

One standout feature is the ability to scale objects to suit different character sizes. For example, gnomes can craft more intimate spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Additionally, some furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will allow recoloring, although this feature may not extend to legacy assets.
With World of Warcraft: Midnight still on the horizon, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by teasing upcoming content, ensuring that players stay excited and eager for future updates.
