As soon as the game starts properly, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can feel very overwhelming. The expansive open-world can make running around seem inefficient, but getting a horse can change everything. Here’s how you can acquire one in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.

Getting Your Horse Back in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Before diving into the adventure, know that you can reclaim your original horse, Pebbles, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Head to Semine in the south and speak with the horse trader NPC. However, getting Pebbles back isn't straightforward. The trader won't give her up easily; you'll need to either pay with Groschen or use persuasion or intimidation to win her back.
In my playthrough, following the main questline and collaborating with Radovan the blacksmith allowed me to acquire new clothes for Henry, making him appear more like nobility. This guise helped me successfully persuade the horse trader to return Pebbles without cost, though it did impact my reputation in Semine slightly. If persuasion doesn't work, be prepared to pay the Groschen to reunite with Pebbles.
How to Steal a Horse
If reclaiming Pebbles isn't an option, stealing a horse is another route. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you won't often find horses roaming freely in the wild. Instead, they're typically found on farms or in stables, making theft a riskier endeavor.
I suggest visiting Vidlak Pond in the west, where you'll find a farmhouse owned by fishermen. They have two horses you can mount and ride away with. After securing your new horse, head to the Nomads' Camp just east of Vidlak Pond. Here, you can speak with the horse trainer NPC to learn how to saddle and tame your stolen steed. Remember, the trainer will expect payment for his services.
Alternatively, you can choose to skip the training and simply ride the horse as is, though this might limit its effectiveness.
And that's how you can get a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
