AMD RX 9060 XT Confirmed After Long Wait

Author : Harper Nov 08,2025

AMD revealed its Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, marking the company's next move after the successful RX 9070 XT launch in March. Details remain scarce about this mid-range GPU, but the specifications suggest an interesting value proposition.

Technical Specifications at a Glance

The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT packs 32 Compute Units and comes equipped with an impressive 16GB of GDDR6 memory - a notable configuration for a card targeting 1080p gaming. With its compact design, the GPU maintains efficiency with a Total Board Power (TBP) ranging between 150-182W.

Given its specifications, the RX 9060 XT positions itself as a more affordable option compared to its RX 9070 XT sibling. The GPU features half the Compute Units and consumes approximately half the power, indicating significantly reduced performance capabilities. AMD has yet to disclose pricing or release details for this upcoming graphics card.

The Budget GPU Market Heats Up

While AMD hasn't revealed pricing for the RX 9060 XT, industry expectations place it in direct competition with Intel's Arc B580 (145W) and Nvidia's RTX 5060 (190W), both priced between $250-$300 at launch. This positioning suggests AMD is targeting the same value-conscious market segment.

Should the RX 9060 XT launch within this price range, it would present consumers with an interesting choice. Unlike its competitors offering 8GB (Nvidia) and 12GB (Intel) of VRAM, AMD's offering stands out with its generous 16GB memory configuration. This advantage could prove significant as modern games continue to demand more video memory.

While real-world performance testing remains pending, the RX 9060 XT's larger frame buffer may extend its relevancy as gaming requirements evolve. The graphics card market has been waiting for a compelling budget option, and AMD's latest offering could emerge as a strong contender in this space.
