Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Author : Evelyn May 14,2025

Attention all The Sims enthusiasts: brace yourselves, as the notorious Burglar is making a grand return with the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on PC and console, this update brings back the infamous Robin Banks, signaling it's time to secure your valuables and stay vigilant. Known for her nocturnal escapades, Robin typically targets homes when everyone is asleep, but she's not above attempting a bold heist even when your Sims are awake. Stay alert!

To fend off this crafty thief, equip your Sims' homes with a burglar alarm. If triggered, it ensures the police arrive swiftly to apprehend Robin and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the authorities can save the day. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, there's always the option of vigilante justice. The choice is yours.

The Burglar is finally in The Sims 4, over 10 years after it came out. If you thrive on chaos, enable the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase the likelihood of these thrilling encounters.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," the team behind The Sims 4 stated. "A special shout-out goes to our dedicated team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old and the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary, it continues to grow. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium game. However, upon going free-to-play in 2022, it attracted an astonishing 31 million new players initially, reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And for those wondering, there are no plans for The Sims 5 at this time… Plum!
