EA Play to Remove 2 Games in Feb 2025

Attention all EA Play subscribers: brace yourselves for some important updates coming in February 2025. Two popular titles, Madden NFL 23 and F1 22, will be leaving the EA Play lineup, impacting your gaming choices. EA Play, EA's subscription service, offers a wide range of benefits including free game trials, full game access, and more. It's available standalone or bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, providing a comprehensive gaming experience.

The EA Play library boasts a diverse collection of games, from classics to the latest releases, ensuring subscribers have plenty of options. However, as with all subscription services, the lineup evolves, and in February 2025, we'll see two games depart. Madden NFL 23 will be removed on February 15, followed by F1 22 on February 28. While these games are being pulled from EA Play, their online multiplayer features will remain active for now. That said, their eventual shutdown is on the horizon, so make sure to enjoy them while you can.

List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon

  • Madden NFL 23 - February 15
  • F1 22 - February 28

February 2025 brings more challenging news for EA fans. UFC 3's online services are set to shut down on February 17. Although it's not confirmed whether UFC 3 will remain accessible via EA Play, the loss of its online features is a significant blow. Given this, EA Play subscribers might want to prioritize their time with UFC 3.

While it's disheartening to see these EA titles leave the EA Play lineup or have their online features discontinued, there's a silver lining. Newer installments in these franchises, such as Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4, will still be available on EA Play post-February. Moreover, excitement is building as UFC 5 is set to join the lineup on January 14. So, while it's never easy to say goodbye to beloved games, the presence of their newer counterparts helps ease the transition.
