Having your own house at the age of 18 might seem like a dream come true—think independence and your own space, all before you're old enough to legally drink in the US! But in the case of Your House, you might find yourself wishing this wasn't your reality, as this seemingly cozy home harbors a dark side.

In this text-based adventure, you step into the shoes of Debbie, a young woman who, on her 18th birthday, faces a series of unfortunate events: expulsion from school, betrayal by her best friend, and being struck by a car. With nothing left to lose, when she receives a mysterious key and a letter directing her to the titular house, Debbie sets out to uncover the secrets that lie within.

As you guide Debbie through the house, you'll encounter numerous escape room-style puzzles that you must solve to progress. With a mysterious figure watching from the sidewalk, you'll need to use your wits to ensure Debbie's survival. The game blends thrilling narrative with challenging puzzles, making for a gripping experience.

Your House game imageThe rental market can be murderAdmittedly, I might be painting Your House as more sinister than it truly is. Yet, there's an undeniable spooky undercurrent to this escape room-style puzzler. As you delve into the various nooks and crannies of your new home, the game's visuals complement the text-based narration, making it a compelling experience worth exploring.

Be ready for some intense tapping, though. While Catherine praised Your House in her review, she noted the need for a slower pace to fully enjoy the game. If you're willing to take your time and scrutinize each screen, the slow-burn pace can be highly rewarding.

Your House is available now on iOS and currently in pre-registration on Android. Keep an eye out, or check out our list of the top 25 best puzzlers for iOS and Android to keep you entertained while you wait!
