The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Guide to New Cards and Rewards

Pokémon TCG Pocket is expanding its card roster with a new event featuring the coveted Lapras EX. This guide covers everything you need to know about maximizing your rewards.

Event Dates:

The Lapras EX drop event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 a.m. Eastern Time. This timeframe provides ample opportunity to collect new card variants and the Lapras EX. Additional rewards include Pack Hourglasses to accelerate booster pack openings.

The event features four battles of increasing difficulty (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert), each with unique deck compositions and challenges. All decks are Water-type, making Lightning-type decks highly effective.

Event Hourglass Usage:

Event stamina, consumed per battle, replenishes every 12 hours (up to five). Earned Event Hourglasses refill stamina instantly.

Recommended Decks and Strategies:

A Pikachu EX deck is highly recommended due to Lightning-type attacks dealing extra damage to Water-type Pokémon. Consider using less rare cards like Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton to meet specific challenge requirements.

Promo Pack Rewards:

Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new variant). Lapras EX boasts 140 HP and the Bubble Drain attack (80 damage, 20 HP heal). Only the Expert battle guarantees a Promo Pack.
