Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! Fans can choose from a whopping 100 options, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but voting can be done on the official website.

The merchandise selection ranges from the expected (like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or pencil case) to the utterly bizarre, drawing inspiration from the series' famously outlandish moments. Examples include Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants."

Other items up for grabs include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4, among many other unique items.

2025 marks not only the 20th anniversary but also sees the release of Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (sic, likely Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) on February 21st. While a second release in the anniversary year hasn't been officially confirmed, given RGG Studio's prolific output – nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and two Super Monkey Ball games – another release is not entirely out of the question.
