Words from Words and Contrary is a word puzzle game where you create words from the letters of another word. Form words, progress through levels, boost your erudition, sharpen your memory, and discover the meaning of any unfamiliar terms you encounter.

This English word game is free to play offline; you only need an internet connection to access hints.

Your goal is to uncover all hidden words and conquer every level. This requires focus and patience, but the game keeps you engaged with interesting puzzles and daily tasks.

GAME RULES

✅ Words from the Word.

You are given one long word. Your task is to find all the target words for that level. Tap letters to form words. If a valid word matches one of the targets, it will appear in your guessed list. For example, from the word "ADVICE," you can form words like ice, idea, dive, cave, and diva.

✅ The Contrary Game.

Several words are displayed on screen, all made from the letters of a single source word. Your task is to deduce that source word. Only singular nouns are used. For example, from the words harp, heart, and carpet, you would deduce the original word is "CHAPTER."

✅ Word of the Day.

A daily crossword-style puzzle where you find hidden words. Complete the challenge to earn game coins and reveal the level's secret word.

Earn coins for each word you find and use them to purchase hints.

The current version includes 40 levels in the main game and 70 levels in the Contrary Game, with varying difficulty and word lengths. To complete the game, you must find over 1200 words. We regularly add new levels and challenges.
