Hylea’s Talon is a rare and essential upgrading material in *Avowed*, crucial for enhancing your build to tackle the game's more challenging areas. Fortunately, there are several ways to quickly obtain Hylea’s Talon, and we'll guide you through the most effective methods.

How to Find Hylea’s Talon in Avowed

In *Avowed*, you can acquire Hylea’s Talon by visiting merchants Lluisa Melcer and Abritt Porrya, exploring the wild and cities, breaking down equipment, completing side quests, crafting with Paradisan Ladder, and downgrading Admeth’s Wyrt.

The fastest and most straightforward way to obtain Hylea’s Talon is by visiting Lluisa Melcer at the Farmer’s Market and Abritt Porrya in Plaza Mez Vidarro. These merchants, located in the early sections of Emerald Stair, allow you to purchase up to 5 units of Hylea’s Talon for 450 coins each. Additionally, you can acquire more Hylea’s Talon by breaking down unique weapons and armor at the workbench in your party camp.

Exploring

Similar to finding Paradisan Ladder in Dawnshore, you can discover Hylea’s Talon in *Avowed* by exploring Emerald Stair. Keep an eye out for plant icons on your mini-map, as shown in the image above. By actively playing through the Emerald Stair missions and exploring, you'll encounter plenty of these upgrade material herbs.

Crafting & Downgrading

If you have an excess of Paradisan Ladder, you can craft one Hylea’s Talon using four units at your party camp workbench. Alternatively, if you possess Admeth’s Wyrt, you can downgrade it to Hylea’s Talon by selecting the “Downgrade” option next to the “Upgrade Materials” tab.

Breaking Down Items

You can also obtain extra Hylea’s Talon by breaking down upgraded items you no longer need. This can be done in your inventory menu, but it's only applicable to weapons and armor of “Exceptional” quality or higher. Be sure to review the materials you can obtain in the “Break Down” section of the item description before proceeding.

With these methods, you're well-equipped to gather Hylea’s Talon in *Avowed*. For more on the game, explore where to find the Painter’s Regret Map or check out the complete list of achievements.
