Rainbow Six Siege X: Major Upgrades on the Horizon

Ubisoft has exciting news for fans of Rainbow Six Siege as they approach the game's 10th anniversary. The company unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X before the big celebration, promising major upgrades and refinements to the beloved tactical shooter. Announced on February 17, 2025, this update is set to elevate the gameplay experience significantly. More details will be shared during the upcoming showcase in March 2025.

Mark your calendars for March 13, 2025, at 10:00 am (PDT) / 1:00 pm (EDT), as Ubisoft hosts the Rainbow Six Siege X showcase in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will dive deep into the "drastic changes" planned for the game, offering an immersive experience for players, creators, and developers alike. "This event promises to be an immersive and one-of-a-kind Siege experience, where players, creators, and developers come together as we unveil all the evolutions coming with Siege X, and many more surprises!"

For those eager to attend in person, tickets are available for USD $10, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. However, to participate, fans must meet these eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a legal resident of the USA and Canada
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a good Rainbow Six Siege account (not banned or sanctioned)

Additionally, Ubisoft is offering VIP packages to two lucky fans, including a hotel stay, roundtrip flight, and entry to the Showcase event. This giveaway is also limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

The Rainbow Six Siege X update promises "new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and major upgrades all around." While specifics will be revealed during the showcase, the anticipation is high for what these changes will bring to the game.

Rainbow Six Siege Upcoming 10th Year Anniversary

Originally released on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and later ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020, Rainbow Six Siege has been a mainstay in the live-service shooter genre. Ubisoft continues to support the game with numerous updates, ensuring its longevity and relevance in the gaming community.

In a Steam post dated February 17, 2025, Ubisoft introduced a new operator, Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors, adding a new tactical element to the game. Alongside Aurora, a new elite skin for operator Aruni and a new reputation system that rewards or punishes players based on their behavior during a season will be released. These additions are slated for Season 1 of the game's 10th year, dubbed Operation Prep Phase, launching on March 4, 2025, in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary.

With the launch of Season 10 and the upcoming showcase, it appears that the major upgrades of Rainbow Six Siege X will be implemented on the live servers following the event, further enhancing the experience for the dedicated community of Rainbow Six Siege players.
