Speculation suggested this figure could be Xal'atath, the main antagonist from World of Warcraft: The War Within, but the NPC's cryptic comments about the Old Gods left much to the imagination. Whether this enigmatic character will make a final appearance in Phase 7 remains a tantalizing mystery.

Scheduled to launch on January 28, following server maintenance, Phase 7 will immediately open up the Karazhan Crypts, a new 5-player dungeon located beneath the iconic tower in Deadwind Pass. This dungeon sets the stage for the Scourge Invasions event, where hordes of undead will overrun zones and cities across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can engage in new quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands and collect Necrotic Runes from vanquished undead to acquire new consumable items.
