Remedy Unveils Latest Game Development Projects

According to Remedy's annual report, Control 2 has successfully passed the concept validation stage and has entered full production. This marks a significant milestone, indicating strong progress on the project. Fans of the original game can look forward to seeing how this sequel evolves.

In addition to Control 2, Remedy is actively developing two other exciting projects: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these titles were still in the preparation phase for production, but they have now advanced to the next stage of development. However, the project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from Remedy's plans. It was canceled back in May of last year.

All these projects are being developed using Remedy's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has already demonstrated its effectiveness in games like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy titles. The use of this engine ensures high-quality gameplay and visuals that fans have come to expect from the studio.

Regarding budgets, Control 2 is estimated at 50 million euros. The game will be self-published by Remedy and is set to be released on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. On the other hand, FBC: Firebreak has a slightly more modest budget of 30 million euros. This project will be available on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services upon release, as well as on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The remakes of Max Payne 1+2 remain shrouded in mystery concerning their budget, but it is known that they will be AAA-level games. Both development and marketing are fully funded by Rockstar Games, ensuring that these remakes will receive the attention and resources needed to meet high standards.
