Rivals Update 9 Introduces the Gunblade and Bridge Map as Nosniy Prepares to Add Ranked Mode

The popular Roblox first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and the all-new Bridge map.

Developer Nosniy Games detailed these additions in today's patch notes, alongside a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some previous releases, it still packs a punch.

Rivals players appreciate the intense FPS gameplay and diverse weaponry, and the Gunblade fits right in. This versatile weapon functions as both a ranged rifle and a melee blade, offering surprising tactical options. The new Bridge map, a suspended concrete arena in Seoul created by @GreatGuyBoom, provides intense close-quarters combat with limited cover.

Interestingly, Rivals Update 9 focuses primarily on these additions, omitting typical bug fixes, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. The developers explain this decision, noting minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins, and renaming the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed respectively. They assure players that these elements will be addressed in the next major update, which will include the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The development team stated, "We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked."

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited-time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
