Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Patch Reverses Unpopular Zombies Tweak

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode spawn delay. Following negative feedback, the January 9th update reverted the change that extended the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds. The original spawn delay, approximately 20 seconds, has been reinstated.

This update also includes several bug fixes:

  • Citadelle des Morts: Resolved issues causing crashes when using the Void Sheath Augment with Elemental Swords, corrected visual effect glitches, and fixed navigation problems in Directed Mode related to quest progression and stamp acquisition.

  • Shadow Rift Ammo Mod: Received significant buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment). The cooldown timer has also been reduced by 25%.

Beyond the zombie-related improvements, the update includes:

  • Global Fixes: Addressed issues affecting Maya's "Joyride" skin visibility, visual problems in the Events tab, and missing audio for event milestone banners.

  • Multiplayer: Increased XP rewards in Red Light, Green Light mode and implemented various stability enhancements.

Looking Ahead:

The patch notes confirm that additional bug fixes and updates are planned for the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2 on January 28th. Specifically, fixes for the Vermin double-attack bug and the Terminus Shock Charge speedrun issue are slated for this release.
