Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue Affecting Several Heroes

Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower FPS settings (particularly 30 FPS) can expect a resolution soon. The development team has acknowledged a bug impacting damage calculations for certain heroes, including Dr. Strange and Wolverine, when the game runs at lower frame rates.

This issue, affecting a subset of heroes and their abilities (such as Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw), is more apparent against stationary targets. The problem stems from the game's client-side prediction mechanism, a common technique that can inadvertently cause these discrepancies at lower FPS.

While a precise fix date isn't available, the developers are actively working on a solution. The upcoming Season 1 launch, scheduled for January 11th, is expected to include a fix or significant improvement. If the Season 1 update doesn't fully resolve the problem, further patches are planned.

Despite this ongoing issue, Marvel Rivals, released in early December 2025, has been well-received, boasting an 80% approval rating on Steam based on over 132,000 reviews. While initial concerns regarding hero balance existed, the overall community response has been overwhelmingly positive. The developers' commitment to addressing this FPS-related bug further underscores their dedication to providing a balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience.
