This groundbreaking competition provides Japanese university, graduate, and vocational school students the unique opportunity to utilize Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE. Teams of up to 20 students will collaborate, each member assuming a role mirroring real-world game development positions. Guided by experienced Capcom developers, participants will hone their skills and learn cutting-edge game development techniques over a six-month period. Winning teams will receive invaluable game production support, potentially leading to commercialization of their creations.

Competition Details

The competition is open to Japanese students aged 18 and older, currently enrolled in eligible educational institutions. Applications open December 9, 2024, and close January 17, 2025 (unless otherwise stated).

RE ENGINE: Powering Innovation

The competition leverages Capcom's advanced RE ENGINE (Reach for the Moon Engine), initially developed for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017. This powerful engine has since powered numerous successful Capcom titles, including recent Resident Evil installments, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. Its continuous evolution ensures high-quality game development.
